She has Stolen everyone heart already!

So I started feeling contractions on Sunday Feb. 22nd around 10:30. I had just finished watching the Oscars and made myself a yummy fruit salad. I sent John to bed, not knowing if something was really happening or if it was those darn Braxton Hicks. I called Jen at 11:30 to give er a heads up and she just told me to try and sleep.

There was obviously no sleep in my near future...in fact I didn't get any sleep till Tuesday around 11 am!

I woke John up around 1 am and called Labor and Delivery around 1:30 t let them know I was on my way! We got to Kaiser in Riverside at 2:30 was checked and had already dilated 4cm. My contractions were right on top of each other giving me no rest in between. I had my Epidural at 4:36 and 30 min. later I was 6cm. By the time she got back I was 9 cm. with a lip. I started pushing around 7. After an hour Little miss Avarey Jordan Harris arrived @ 8lbs 2oz and 20 in. long! I was hooked the first time I heard her little scream! So as you can see my labor and delivery was a whirlwind. It all happened soooo fast. She is precious and I am so blessed to have my little angel in my life!

Manda testing the crib...

My mom still want's manda to be a baby...Amanda will always be the baby though! Thank you for testing the crib out for Avarey...lol

Missing that thing called sleep...

So I've been having trouble sleeping, which is why I'm up right now posting a blog! I had my 38 week checkup on Monday and everything looks amazing! Her head is down...hopefully she'll stay that way! I can't believe I'm due next week...Friday to be exact! But I have a feeling Avarey's super comfy and has no intention on coming out anytime soon! My next appt is Monday and than again on Friday! If I don't have her by the 23rd My doctor is most likley going to induce me...since that's when he'll be in labor and delivery. He's the same doctor that performed my mom's surgery a few years back and so we have 100% trust in him! I'm a little anxious and nervous only because I have no idea what to expect!

I took a few pictures of Avarey's room so you all can see the beautiful painting John created just for his little girl! I think it turned out amazing! We also painted her letter's, added little jewel's an bow's of course! Her shelf and teal picture frame were also hand crafted by John and I! The Poem in the frame is Footprints! Her crib is set up and we ordered her bedding online , so were just waiting on that and my Glider and her room will be complete!

I can't wait to meet my little girl, nor can I stop shopping for her. I bought two more headbow's today and John couldn't resist buying her some cute pink puma's! She's sooo spoiled already! We love you all and appreciate all your love and support...let the countdown begin!

Superbowl 2009

John and I drove up to Fullerton Sunday to have a little get together at jen's for the Superbowl! It's always nice to get out of the house...especially since I'm not up to doing much these days! The belly makes me very tired! There was a ton of yummy food...yummy junk food, good people and presents! Jen is a shopping machine and can't help herself when entering a store with a baby section...not that I'm complaining! Between Avarey and Everett she's going to go broke! John and I won the 2nd quater pool with that last min. 100 yard Steeler touchdown, which was super exciting. We both never win anything! All in all it was a great way to start out my last month of pregnancy! 17 more days..not that I'm counting!
