No "Fair" for Av's

July 18Th, 2009

John, Av's and I had plans to go to the OC Fair with friends when Avarey came down with a little cold! Poor baby had a drain for a nose...it just wouldn't stop running. The Cold Monster had trouble breathing with her monster boogies that formed due to her drain. I felt bad after the first night when Both Av and I got little sleep. So the next day I went to my "favorite store" and got this cute little cow humidifier! Let me just tell you that I LOVE THIS LITTLE COW!!! Av slept a million times better with it and it's not medicated! It's just a cool mist!! It's made by CRANE if any of you are interested. Anyways Avarey was feeling much better by Saturday...the day we had plans for the Fair...but I decided not to chance it and left her with her Nana while I drove out to Costa Mesa to meet up with John. John had already been out in the area due to his Tattoo apt. Yes he's addicted and his arm is halfway done. No it doesn't look like a wrist cast anymore. I have my days where I love his tattoo's and days where I'm not so fond of them. Avarey on the other hand is rather amused by them...they are colorful and "pretty!" Anyways WE had a GREAT time at the overcrowded fair! I love getting out of the house!! Here are some moments John and I happen to catch on camera!!

My heart stopped

The Accident

My mom, Avarey and I decided to check out Uncle Craiger's new home! He and His friends are moving into a house in Menifee. Anyways, on the way home we were rear ended. I wasn't driving (Thank Goodness) and I do believe my heart stopped. We were hit pretty hard (my mama has whiplash) and the only thing I could think about was Avarey. I ripped out my seat belt and flew in the back to find my little Angel screaming. In the process of flying into the backseat, I flipped off the driver who hit us. I definitely don't usually act hasty and I felt bad after I did it, especially since it was a nice old man. The Man was very nice about the whole thing, (I assume) my mama was doing all the talking while I was calming Av's.

We got home and I called Av's doctor to see if I should take her in. I ended up only talking to the nurse who advised me to get her to urgent care. Now Avarey seemed fine and I wasn't really worried...but better safe than sorry...RIGHT! So off to Urgent Care we went. Turns out That Kaiser doesn't have Urgent Care at the Wildomar office for children under 2. They were going to send me to Riverside when they saw my precious baby smiling and sent me in to see the RN (That's what happens when you have a gorgeous baby). She checked Av's and she seems to be just fine. Just in case She made little miss Avarey an appointment for tomorrow early afternoon. If she seems a little stiff or "off" I'm to bring her in. If she seems OK I can go ahead and cancel her apt. We'll see what tomorrow brings.

On a good note, Avarey is getting a new car seat! It turns out that whenever a child is in an accident, their car seat must be replaced. This works because Avarey DOES NOT like her car seat. Thank Goodness she's OK and that I didn't have a heart attack. I have NEVER been as SCARED as I was today! I couldn't imagine anything bad happening to my baby girl. God was watching over us today!

Av's is so fascinated by animals, especially dogs! Bobby was no exception. In fact I think she was even more enamored by him...he 's her size! Thank Goodness Bobby is a good and patient doggy. Av's doesn't know the meaning of "nice" yet. She was pulling poor bobby's hair.

Avarey is getting so BIG and I have mixed feelings about it. I love that she is starting to entertain herself for short periods of time...but I hate that she's starting to not need me like she once did! 5 month's has come too quickly.

I love little baby yawns...especially little Avarey yawns!

So this picture cracks me up! I was putting toys away and came back into the bedroom to find that John had put Av's paci's all over her! She loved it! It was too funny. She had one in her mouth and one in each hand! Super cute...I RAN quickly to grab the camera. I just couldn't resist such a cute picture!

The Bow totally makes the outfit! Accessories are everything!

Another Milestone

So Avarey first rolled over two weeks ago, but hasn't done it again until TODAY! Avarey finally learned how to roll over and has mastered rolling to her RIGHT! And let me tell you, it has been tough...since Av's hates ands I mean SCREAMS every time she is put on her Tummy! But yeah for My Honey Bunny reaching this Milestone! Her daddy and I are so proud!

John and I had a busy day planned! WE headed out to Costa Mesa, Avarey in tow and stopped by the swap meet! I really wanted to go before the OC Fair. There's no swap meet during the fair! So we shopped for a few hours. I picked up some new hair accessories for Av's, got myself a new dress and sun hat, and John picked up a few pairs of sunglasses he didn't care about destroying at work! After grabbing a bite to eat we headed back to Murrieta for a little nap and pool time! So Av's had a nap and I had a little pool time! WE than headed out to Pechanga to meet up with Vince, Kelly and Mason for some Fireworks! Av's did amazing, even though it was past her bedtime....and little miss Avarey has a strict bedtime. She's never up past 8:30pm. I thought for sure the loud noise would scare her. But nothing seemed to faze her. She even stared in awe at the amazing/scary GRAND FINALE. I don't know if it was because it was on INDIAN land or what but I have never seen a GRAND FINALE like that. I'm not gonna lie I was a little scared. WE all thought it was a mistake at first...those fireworks were super close and right on top of each other! Anyways! It was another amazing weekend with my family!

Queen of the CRIB!

Finally!!!

Av's is now a crib sleeper! She wanted nothing to do with her crib until 3 weeks ago...and now she's all about it. I was starting to worry that she would never want to sleep in anything other than her swing. But like the girl she is, she had to do it on her own time, when she was good and ready! Now my BIG little GIRL is sleeping in her crib, getting up once around 2 or 3 for a quick feeding and than right back to bed!

Food, Friends and Fireworks

John and I have been wanting to get friends together and have a BBQ for a while. It just so happened that John's good friend Leroy and his girlfriend Danielle were going to be out in California for the weekend so we decided last minute to invite a few people over. John went out surfing for the morning so Av and I got things ready around the house...including picking up daddy's favorite carne asada! I'm not gonna lie...I love it too!

It turned out to be the perfect day for a BBQ! IT was nice and warn outside...perfect for the pool! Murrieta was also having it's annual Birthday Event at the Cal Oaks Sports Park, which it walking distance from the house. So WE all enjoyed the Three F's:

FRIENDS
and

FIREWORKS!

Yes. That's a corona. No she didn't get a drop. She loves the cold rim, it must feel great on her gums. Little miss Avarey has started teething. Daddy made me take a picture, he thought it was funny, I guess it kinda was!

Kaelen Patri! Almost 13 months and weighs just about the same as my little chunker who's only 4 month's!

Mason, This little monster is two and just loves Avarey! Every time he See's her and I mean every time...he says' Baby Avarey and gives her kisses (or at least tries to)!!
