Catching up...somewhat

Way to much has happened in the past few months to go back and blog about....and I just can't find that extra time to post very often! So...here are the cliff Notes.

October
Avarey started spending one weekend a month in Arizona with her daddy. One four day weekend, Friday to Monday. It's hard....but I've grown somewhat used to "my" weekends. John and I haven't been together since right before Avy's first Birthday and I knew I would have to come to some sort of visitation agreement. It was a long stressful road, but I think we are all pleased with the arrangement we have for now.

November
Avy spent Thanksgiving with her daddy. This was extremely hard on me. When you have a child, you never expect to be alone on holidays (not that I was completely alone, I was with my family). But we got through it.

December
Christmas was magical!! It is so much fun to watch my little princess grow and learn. She still is not a major fan of Santa, but she is a fan of presents! lol What child isn't?

January
It's a new year, A FRESH START! Thank Goodness!! 2010 was a hard year on me and I'm ready for nothing but good things this year. Totally jumping ahead of myself, but so far so good!!

February
Avy Turned 2!! TWO!! seriously, 2!! I know every mommy uses the expression, "Where did the Time Go?" This is truly how I feel! No big party this year, I'm trying to do a Big party every other year. New things about my Avy:
  • She is just like my sister, Amanda. Extremely sassy.
  • Talks up a storm, I swear she is speaking Japanese sometimes.
  • No Bottles, we got rid of her bottle back in November.
  • Still loves her Paci, I know it's such a bad habit. She is only allowed to have it during naps and bedtime. I'm picking my battles carefully
  • is growing out of her Chubby stage, and it makes me sad. I miss those rolls.
  • still sucha great eater
  • Got food poisoning for the first time. It was awful. NEVER EAT AT CHUCKIE CHEESE, especially the one in Tustin.
  • Loves all the Disney Princesses! Jasmin is her Favorite...for now!
  • "side" She loves being outside. Rain or shine she loves the outdoors! She manages to convince every who walks in the house to go out"side"! lol
  • Is OBSESSED with Ranch and CHEESE. She will eat anything if there is Ranch somewhere on her plate.
  • Throws major tantrums. I swear she turned Two and my little Angel Child turned into a mischievous, sassy Toddler. Holy Moly does she test my Patience.
  • Mommy kisses still Fix everything!
  • Loves Animals!I'm pretty sure she's going to be a Veterinarian, if she's not a princess of course
  • Is a major Mommy's Girl! I Hope she is forever!!

March

27. I turned 27 this year. Not to thrilled about the number but I did have a great birthday this year! I went to Glen Ivy twice in one week! First the Sunday before my Birthday with my Bestest Friend and then again on my actual Birthday!! Glen Ivy is one of my most favorite places, I could lounge in those pools all day!

April

Easter! As much as Avy loves animals you would think she would be a major fan of the Easter Bunny...nope. Just like with Santa, I had to sit next to the Easter Bunny in order to get the traditional holiday picture!

May

This School year ended early!! Thank Goodness! TVUSD got out on the 27th this year! It's super exciting to have the next two whole months off, well at least from one of my jobs. I'm still at RJ's three nights a week.

June

We starting potty Training, finally! I waited until she showed interest! Boy did it pay off, One week down and she is doing awesome! My mom and I took Avy's crib down today! She now has a "BIG" girl room! She went to sleep tonight in her toddler bed, no fuss!! I'm thinking she was just exhausted with no nap today. It was to good to be true! We'll see how she does Monday night she she gets home from her dad's.

whew, how was that for catching up? I know I'm missing out on a ton of events, but this will have to due for now. Thank you to everyone who has stuck by me this past year and a half. It's been rough but I'm doing great! I'm happy, healthy, and I have a beautiful little girl who makes me smile every day!! Life is only as good as the memories we make, and that's what I'm trying to focus on...Making GREAT Memories!!

pictures coming soon...

Avy had her 18 month check-up last Wed. It went...ok. She screamed whenever the DR. touched her and was terrified at the Stethoscope. I'm thinking Stranger Anxiety has kicked in. She had three shots and was not happy with me until I let her feed me her sucker. YES, She wanted me to have her sucker. She thinks it's hilarious to feed me! This is what else Avy has been up to:

  • LOVES Caillou. Starting to like Elmo!
  • is still so easy to put to bed

  • Loves storytime, I read a book at bathtime
  • Wakes up at 6:30, Naps at 12-3:30 ish, Bedtime is 8:30

  • Loves Disneyland...especially the Playhouse Disney Show!!
  • Loves to color
  • Loves TyTy our Pit Bull
  • Still has the most beautiful Blue eyes and blonde curly hair
  • Weighs 25 lbs

Something new sort of...

June 11th, 2010
Auntie Da's Graduation Dinner!
Life has been beyond crazy lately. I'm doing the whole single mom thing now. Believe me, this is something I never expected to happen but I'm doing pretty dang well considering. I just recently got a second job. So things for Avy and I are looking up. For the first time in months and months, I can honestly say that I feel amazing. I no longer feel the weight of my failing relationship on my shoulders. I'm excited to see what the Future brings for Avy and I. Things keep getting better and better. New posts coming soon!!

Wild Animal Park

I feel like we have annual Passes everywhere! This Trip to the Wild Animal Park was like a month ago! It was SUPER hot...but a ton of fun! WE went while the Butterfly Exhibit was up and running...which was beautiful!
In line for Journey into Africa! She is such a ham!

Happiest Place on Earth

I bought An annual Pass!! I love Disneyland and now so does Avarey!! I bought our pass May 6th and we have already been twice. I must say I didn't know what Avarey would think about Disneyland...but She loves it! Her favorites;
Playhouse Disney Show at California Adventure
&
The Carousal at Disneyland

She looks like such a big girl here!

Minnie...whom I promise she adores despite her face!

I'm standing behind the "A" I wouldn't leave her by herself. Though people walking by thought my mom put her up there by herself and then left to take a picture!

~Dumbo~
My favorite. I have a picture with my dad on this ride when i was Avy's age!

Look at her bum! Is she not the cutest thing?! She stood there watching Dumbo forever! She did not want to leave.

Someone learned how to turn around and look at mommy. She thought it was hilarious. I know I shouldn't have humored her by taking a picture but I couldn't help myself.

Nana and Avy

WE have gone now every Thursday... and every time It is perfect. Not crowded, not too hot...just perfect! So glad I got a pass! I'm looking forward to a magical year at Disney with my Princess!

Change

It's been about a month since I've posted anything. Life is crazy. I know I talked to a few of you and you are aware of what's been going on. John and I are very different people. I love him but have somewhere along the line fallen out of love. Many incidents lead to us falling apart and though they are important it's not necessary to go into detail. Long story short is that John is now in Arizona working and living. Avarey and I are at my parents. More than anything I wanted a happy ending, happy family, to get married...but I've come to the realization that John and I are not meant to be. I'm stressed, but relieved. John left yesterday after spending the weekend here with Avy...He hadn't seen her in 6 weeks. I kind of felt numb when he drove away...but at the same time I felt like a weight has been lifted off my chest. I'm not sure what tomorrow will bring but I do know Avy and I will be just fine.

Pearls

Yes she is all GIRL...and I love it!

Baseball

I LOVE Baseball! I grew up watching both my brother's play ball as well as my dad! Baseball is in my blood! I especially love going to games! During Spring Break, My Dad got some great seats from his friend and we took Avy to her first Angels Game! She was sooo good! No whining or crying! She loved it...and so did I until I got hit with a foul ball. Yes out of 40,000 people I would get hit by a foul ball! I still have a massive bruise on my leg and the game was 2 weeks ago. This was only the First of MANY games little MISS Avarey Jordan will be attending this season! Thanks Poppa and Nana for taking us along!

Av's 2nd Easter

Avy and Ty Ty!!
Mommy...There is something in this thing!

She totally got the hang out finding eggs and putting them in her basket!!

Candy too early in the morning...

Avarey's Easter Basket!

Our Beautiful Dyed Easter Eggs!

Daddy, Mommy and Avy!

Wow how this year flown by! This is a picture of Avarey's first Easter (2 months old)! I am in just as much amazement of her now as I was when she was just born! Though sometimes I wish I could freeze time and have her be my little baby forever, I love watching her grow and learn!
Easter Twenty Ten was amazing! John, Avarey's daddy spent Easter with us. He's been working in Arizona since the end of January. I'm glad I got to take a picture of the three of us. WE miss having him around.

She almost fit in her Easter Basket...ahhh I miss my itty Bitty Avy!
